A defining impression
There for nobody to see
A watermark in dust
Preserved, for eternity
–
A special human touch
Unique and enduring
Emotionally charged
Warm and reassuring
–
Fingers outstretched
Curled tightly in mine
A personalized fit
A six to my nine
–
Your fingerprints
Never washed away
Like astronaut steps
Forever on display
