Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have numerous official live releases and a few that have been made available by other sellers. I can recommend The Live Anthology and Live At The Fillmore 1997, and to a lesser degree, Pack Up the Plantation Live!
If you’ve had the pleasure of seeing this band live, you know how good they are. They can play live everything they record, and as you might have noticed, they played many covers. Normally, I’m not big on bands doing covers, but these guys pick unusual songs to do in concert.
The sound on this set is pretty good. The sound quality is not pristine, but as a broadcast, very acceptable. Understand, I highly doubt any sweetening was done, there are no production credits listing the locations or engineering information. With that in mind, the overall quality across 6 discs and numerous concert locations is very good.
Discs 3 and 4 contain performances by Bob Dylan, who headlined the 1986 (True Confessions Tour) and 1987 (Temples in Flames Tour) shows with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers as the backing band, and performing their own set.

Click on the links before for audio of songs performed live. I also added tour art that I located for the various tours. Enjoy!
