An overdose of existential dulls my cognition
Unraveling a thread from a neuron knot
Stretching it endlessly around the cosmos
Floating above it all, a visceral astronaut
Newton says we will fall back to Earth
Tumbling thru the gray matter of the mind
Concentration drifting as synapses fire
A Technicolor rainbow but I’m color-blind
My brain has a mad scientist in control
Can I slow the speed of mentation?
Bypassing the rational imbalance
Searching for an oasis of sedation
No switch to halt overflowing brainwaves
A confluence of mental images pulsate
Clock hands slowly drizzle the minutes
An avalanche of dreams anxiously wait

Too much to think… love it!
I’ll have Electric Prune melodies in my own mind for the next few hours, now.
