If the Moon Could Sing

I’m blue, yet still shining through

Lovers swoons beneath the night sky

The insects’ song a natural dance beat

The butterfly say, music on the fly

—-

Presiding over the Earthly kingdom

My power can pull the mighty seas

I’m soft beneath the craters and crust

My revealing colors are my selfies

—-

Can a terrestrial orb dream?

Change moods or disappear

Just steps from Heaven’s Gate

God bless this lonely sphere

—-

Across countless eons

Just me in the night above

In song I’d howl at myself

Can a satellite possess love?
