Later, it consumed the rest

But, the body follows the order
Panic is now unchecked
Survival mode activated
Escape, press eject

Crash, sprawled in a heap
Surprise and confusion
Ready, where’s the threat?
Just bruises and a contusion

Safety, where is it?
Fear overrides perception
