Running like a crazy man into the heart of the aurora
Hues and textures splattered together, pigments interlaced
Despite the steady drumbeat of rain washing over me
Colors congealing from head to toe sticking like paste
The sun slivers yellow rays through the angry cloud banks
The downpour is a swirling brush creating new shades
Highlighting everything not hiding in the shadows
The watery mix of glazes and accents are endless parades
Across the way she stood, a mirror-like image of me
Pieces and rainbow parts, and a bit of unicorn glow
Silhouetted against nature’s nostalgic earth tones
I skipped the dinner and stayed for the late show
