I got this idea from fellow blogger Larry Graves, who regularly gives his YouTube followers a choice between two stacks of CDs. So, I thought, what they hey, I’ll try it too.

I will list the contents of each stack of CDs, with a comparable quality of CDs. The idea is to make the choice a difficult one, like picking which of your children is your favorite. Grasshopper, no trading of CDs between stacks, and you might have to Google the name to see what songs on are the CD.

Here we go:

Stack 1

Sgt. Pepper – The Beatles

Fragile – Yes

Led Zeppelin IV – Led Zeppelin

Tapestry – Carole King

Harvest – Neil Young

Dark Side of the Moon – Pink Floyd

Who’s Next – The Who

Fleetwood Mac (1975 album) – Fleetwood Mac

Frampton Comes Alive – Peter Frampton

A Trick of the Tail – Genesis

Jefferson Starship – Red Octopus

Hotel California – Eagles

Dreamboat Annie – Heart

Stack 2

Abbey Road – The Beatles

Close to the Edge – Yes

Physical Graffiti – Led Zeppelin

Court and Spark – Joni Mitchell

Rust Never Sleeps – Neil Young

The Wall – Pink Floyd

Tommy – The Who

Rumours – Fleetwood Mac

Saturday Night Fever – The Bee Gees

Emerson, Lake & Palmer – Trilogy

Jefferson Airplane – Surrealistic Pillow

Brothers in Arms – Dire Straits

Boston (debut) – Boston

  1. Fun exercise! While both stacks include excellent choices, I have to go with Stack 1, since it features my favorite albums by The Beatles, Carole King, Led Zeppelin and The Who. And I guess Neil Young, though “Rust Never Sleeps” is awesome as well, so that’s a more difficult choice.
