The World Must Be Flat

I was just thinking

Why we never agree

A person could circle the globe

Returning to this very tree

This planet now feels super small

Yet we share no common ground

We disappear in our far flung positions

Into the distance, never to be found

No corners or ends, just going ‘round

A mighty walkabout of exploration

With my discoveries, sharing freely

Me glorious, full of exultation

Skies choking, boiling with hate

Truth glistens in the rays of sunshine

The seas part by diverging views

Disappearing beyond the coastline

If dinosaurs fell over the edge

Why can’t nationalists follow?

Goose-steppers spouting lies

Sheep always willing to swallow
