Word balloons drift from my lips
Thoughts scrambled like secret code
Restraining this odd feeling
Emotions desperate to explode
Instead of toppling to the ground
I am lifted by loving hands
Relearning to reveal myself
Vulnerable to life’s new plans
Miles of hard road lay behind
This face not recognizable in the mirror
A journey veered to uncharted territory
As my wandering on earth becomes clearer
I have the speed of a hummingbird
The wingspan of a flittering monarch
Passion of pollen-targeting bee
And dramatic song of the skylark
I am all of these wonders
And unexplored mysteries
A wide-eyed child of nature
A young spirit of many histories
Searching for that missing vision
Once upon a dream come true
The rainbow pierces the clouds
Happiness is looking for me too
