Think about it. Are we better off than we were 18 months ago? As John Wayne used to reply: Not hardly. Those who used to claim the government was putting itself too far into our personal lives (government overreach), didn’t consider what Trump and MAGA had in mind.

Making it harder to vote – All under the guise of election security, these forces are rigging the system with false claims of fraud. Gerrymandering districts. Closing polling locations. Threats of deploying armed and masked thugs to polling locations. The list goes on and on. Time after time audits have shown that our elections are free from fraud.

Whitewashing history – MAGA is famous for inventing threats and claiming discrimination against white people. And now Christians. Revising factual history is dangerous. Calling everything you dislike DEI is ridiculous and only tries to legitimize racism, misogyny and hate. The truth is the truth, it cannot be scrubbed or “alternative facts” used to change what you don’t like. America is strong, it can survive the truth of what some Americans did in the past. Learn rather than deny.

Committing war crimes and being a party to another country’s war crimes – The Trump administration has repeatedly committed war crimes. Killing Venezuelan persons under the guise of drug traffickers, then letting survivors drown. No proof, shoot first and celebrate later. Ghouls. In Iran, targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, over and over, is expressly defined as war crimes. Threatening to wipe out a civilian – that’s a war crime. Providing the means and support for another country to intently and with extreme prejudice in killing civilians, especially children, women, doctors, teachers, etc. A nation that arms and protects a masked, army of thugs who is spreading fear and violation of rights to a targeted group of people, weakens, not strengthens democracy. Who will be next?

Choosing guns over butter (and every other program to help the average American) – Spending us into massive debt and redirecting resources away from basic services and programs to fund war and repression, canceling funding for approved programs and projects designed to build and support Americans, undoes legislation and rules that protect Americans and those in other countries, by using money as a weapon to trigger hunger, health crisis and creating instability in weaker democracies. America is now alone in the world, except for a few authoritarian governments, our traditional allies have backed away from us. This damage is all intentional and part of a strategy to weaken our democracy at home through allowing the President uncontrolled and unaccountable powers.

Lying and lack of transparency – The most dishonest administration ever. Claiming it supports free speech, but really only speech it agrees with. Dismantling online services and access to federal government information. Secret meetings and negotiations by Trump family members to strike self enriching deals. Manipulation of the stock market and secret stock trades prior to the announcement of policies and actions, all designed to personally enrich the Trump inner circle. No accountability for funds controlled by Trump and his administration. These were people who stole money from a children’s foundation, who have excepted payments and gifts from Middle East governments, and taken oil revenues and assets from other countries (Venezuela and maybe Iran).
